CPRE Oxford Green Belt Way Stage 3. Abingdon Lock to Radley |

(See Map 17 for the link from Abingdon) 4.1 miles (6.6km) At Abingdon Lock cross farther lock gate and weir (1). (For Abingdon centre keep straight on for ½ mile.) Turn right over wooden bridge and immediately sharp right to follow Thames Path and OGBW signs (before Sustrans route). Walk alongside Barton Meadows and community woodland, and continue under the railway nearly a mile ahead of you (2). Walk another mile to Radley College Boat House, and there turn left on to tarmac drive (3). At end of drive turn right and follow OGBW stickers on green roadside sign posts directing to railway station through Lower Radley, eventually crossing railway bridge. At T-junction with Church Road turn right passing Spinneys Close, St James Road and St James's Church. At junction with Kennington Road (4) turn right towards Kennington. |
